Two young girls run away from a psychiatric institution and make a home for themselves in the middle of Times Square. The duo starts a band and, with the help of an FM disk jockey, publicizes their music around town. They soon begin enjoying their punk-rock life until the powers that be start nosing around, looking for them, unsettling their already delicate mental states. The film culminates in a rock show, featuring an array of rockers performing on top of a marquee on 42nd Street.
